Installer-Network Lead

Field Operations & InstallationBengaluru, KarnatakaFull-time4–8 years

Build and run Helira's certified installer network from its first cohort: sourcing, certification, scheduling, payouts and quality.

About Helira

Helira Energy Private Limited is a brand + technology company for residential rooftop solar in Bengaluru. Helira-certified installers carry out the physical work; the warranty and accountability stay with Helira. Installers are independent, coordinated through the Helira platform, and paid per completed installation. Our installation standard, app-based checkpoints and certification programme are how we hold quality constant across a growing network. We are early-stage and building the operating system for the trade.

Why this role exists

The network is close to zero today. Someone has to source installer candidates, assess them, certify them against our standard, and then keep the network running week after week — scheduled, supplied, paid correctly and improving. This is a field-workforce operations role, not a solar-craft role. The craft can be trained; the ability to build and run a distributed workforce is what we are hiring for.

What you will do

  • Source installer candidates through technical training institutions, trade channels and referral routes across Bengaluru.
  • Run selection end to end, including a practical skills assessment, and make the call on who enters the programme.
  • Operate the certification programme against Helira's installation standard, and keep the curriculum current as the standard evolves.
  • Roster and schedule certified installers to jobs, balancing geography, capability and availability.
  • Coordinate material readiness with the operations team so installers are never idle or under-supplied.
  • Administer per-installation payments accurately and on time, and resolve payment queries quickly.
  • Track quality scores from the app-based checkpoint system and act on the outliers, both good and poor.
  • Own retention and earnings satisfaction so capable installers keep choosing Helira work.
  • Write the SOPs, checklists and dashboards that let the network scale without you in every loop.

Essential requirements

  • 4–8 years managing distributed field teams or platform workforces — home services, last-mile logistics, appliance service, telecom field service, or crew operations at a solar organisation.
  • Direct ownership of recruitment, scheduling and payout operations, not oversight from a distance.
  • Process-builder mindset: you leave behind SOPs, checklists and dashboards.
  • Comfort operating through apps and data as the primary management tools.
  • Working fluency in Kannada and English.
  • Bengaluru-based and willing to spend most of the week in the field.

Preferred

  • Experience standing up a field workforce from zero.
  • Training-programme design or assessment design.
  • Incentive and rate-card design.
  • A two-wheeler for city travel, and willingness to be on rooftops observing work (no climbing required).

What we offer

  • Build a city-scale skilled-trades network from its first cohort, with real authority over how it works.
  • Ground-floor role with direct founder access and short decision cycles.
  • Growth into head of field operations as the network mobilises in new cities.

Start date: September, Bengaluru.

Compensation: competitive for an early-stage startup; finalised at offer.
