Solar modules — product defects

Manufacturer product warranty (typically 10–12 years per installed make/model). HELIRA administers.

Inverter

Manufacturer warranty (typically 5–8 years per installed model). HELIRA administers.

Installation workmanship

Mounting structure, wiring, earthing, roof penetration and sealing, and commissioning quality: 5 years from commissioning — HELIRA.

HELIRA Roof Shield

Every penetration we make is sealed to spec and covered against leaks for 5 years. If it leaks at our anchor point, we inspect within 72 hours and complete the repair within 7 days — at our cost.

Service response

HELIRA receives, owns and resolves every service request with a single point of accountability.

What's not covered

• Weather and irradiance variability (sunlight is not warrantable)
• Unauthorised modification or third-party repair
• Customer-caused physical damage
• Grid outages or BESCOM supply issues
• Force majeure
• Consumables such as cleaning
• Systems with overdue payments

This warranty is not a savings guarantee. Generation cover is provided separately — see HELIRA Assured Generation below.

HELIRA Assured Generation

On eligible roofs, HELIRA assures 1,500 kWh per kWp per year, in writing, for 5 years from commissioning (adjusted 0.5% per year for natural module ageing). If your system generates less over a guarantee year, HELIRA credits ₹8 for every missing unit.*

• Eligibility: a shadow-free roof (confirmed at your site assessment) with the system installed and commissioned by HELIRA's certified team.
• Your first year of HELIRA maintenance is included with every system. Assured Generation continues in years 2–5 only while your maintenance plan stays continuously active from commissioning. If the plan lapses, Assured Generation ends — a later renewal restores your maintenance, but not the assurance, because we cannot stand behind a year we did not maintain.
• Assured Generation also ends if the system is modified, repaired or serviced by anyone other than HELIRA or its certified team.
• Measured over each full year from commissioning — never a single month. Monthly output naturally varies with the seasons; the assurance is annual.
• Grid-outage hours are excluded on a proportionate basis.

*Credited against your next year of HELIRA maintenance; the annual credit is limited to the value of that year's maintenance plan. Full terms are provided with your proposal.
