Helira Energy Private Limited is a brand + technology company for residential rooftop solar in Bengaluru. Helira-certified installers carry out the physical work; the warranty and accountability stay with Helira. Field execution — scheduling, site readiness and crew certification — is the operational backbone behind that promise, and this role owns it end to end.

Why this role exists

Install volume is planned to scale from a handful a month today to 36-plus a month by December 2026, and field execution currently runs through ad hoc coordination. This is the first operations hire, joining in September and reporting to the founder, with the mandate to build a repeatable execution engine as volume grows. You will run crew coordination and vendor scheduling directly at first, and hire an operations coordinator as the workload demands it.

What you will do

• Own install scheduling end to end, from booking confirmation through site readiness to handover.
• Coordinate with partner vendors-of-record on subsidy-linked scheduling and documentation.
• Enforce Helira's installation SOP on every job, working with installers certified to Helira's standard.
• Run physical quality sampling — spot-checking roughly 10–20% of installs on-site — behind the automated, app-based QC (photo checkpoints, vision AI) that already covers every job.
• Recruit, train and certify installers against Helira's installation standard, building a bench that can absorb rising volume.
• Troubleshoot on-site issues — access, structural surprises, readiness for grid connection — and keep jobs moving without compromising the standard.
• Feed field reality back into the app team: where the SOP breaks down, where checkpoints miss real defects, where scheduling logic needs to change.
• Build toward hiring and managing an operations coordinator as install volume scales.

Essential requirements

• 5–8 years in field operations, project execution or installer/vendor network management, ideally in solar, home services, construction or a similarly physical, schedule-driven business.
• Demonstrated ownership of an operational number — installs completed, SLA adherence, defect rate — not just a coordination role.
• Comfortable visiting rooftops and construction sites regularly to inspect work and resolve issues in person.
• Working knowledge of how physical execution is documented and audited; comfortable enforcing a written standard rather than working from experience alone.
• Bengaluru-based, with the ability to travel across install sites daily.
• Confident managing a distributed network of installation crews you coordinate rather than line-manage.

Preferred

• Experience in residential solar installation or rooftop construction specifically.
• Familiarity with BESCOM processes or net-metering site requirements.
• Experience building or scaling a certification or training programme for a field workforce.
• Fluency in Kannada.
