Why this role exists

We are about to carry out our first residential rooftop installations in Bengaluru. These are our reference installs — the ones that define how every subsequent job is executed, inspected and signed off. We need one experienced technician to personally lead them end-to-end, then convert that hands-on knowledge into a repeatable standard and train every installer who follows.

What you will do

• Personally lead our first reference installations end-to-end in August.
• Carry out site surveys: roof condition, shading, structure design, cable routes, meter position.
• Run installation and commissioning to Helira's standard — structure, DC and AC wiring, earthing, inverter commissioning.
• Capture every quality checkpoint in our app: photographs, instrument readings, sign-offs.
• Coordinate BESCOM net-metering documentation through to handover.
• Enforce safety discipline on every site: work at height, electrical isolation, correct PPE.
• Train and assess installers certified to Helira's standard, and sign off on their competence.
• Feed real site learning back into the written standard and the app checklist.

Essential requirements

• 4–8 years of hands-on residential rooftop solar installation experience in and around Bengaluru.
• You have personally led installs end-to-end — site survey, structure, DC/AC wiring, earthing, inverter commissioning, net-metering handover. Led, not assisted.
• Working knowledge of BESCOM net-metering documentation and process.
• Demonstrable safety discipline: work at height, electrical isolation, PPE.
• Comfortable with smartphone-based work processes — this role is app-driven, every day.
• Willing to complete a practical skills test as part of selection.

Preferred

• Karnataka supervisor-grade electrical Certificate of Competency.
• Experience coordinating with a Licensed Electrical Contractor for completion certification.
• Experience training or assessing junior technicians against a defined standard.
• Familiarity with a range of inverter and mounting-structure types.
