How we handle your application
Who is responsible for your data?
Helira Energy Private Limited (CIN U43210KA2026PTC221884), registered at No. 31, 11th A Cross, 6th Main, JP Nagar III Phase, Bangalore South, Bangalore, Karnataka — 560078, is the Data Fiduciary for the information you submit through this careers site. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, that means we decide why and how your data is processed, and we are accountable for it.
What we collect, and what we deliberately do not
For every application: your name, phone number, email address, the role you applied to, your years of relevant experience, and whatever you write in the free-text answers.
For professional roles (everything except Senior Installation Technician): your CV, optionally a LinkedIn or portfolio URL, your notice period, your current pay range and your expected pay range. Pay is asked as a range chosen from a list, never an exact figure — a range is enough for us to know whether we are in the same territory. You may also decline to give your current range entirely: the form has an explicit option for it, declining does not disadvantage your application, and we record that you declined rather than treating it as a blank.
For field roles: your certifications (ITI, Suryamitra or similar), whether you have your own transport, and your work history in your own words. A CV is optional, because many good technicians do not have one and requiring it would exclude exactly the people we are trying to reach. We do not ask field candidates about pay at all.
We do not ask for, and you should not send us: your Aadhaar number, PAN, date of birth, bank details, caste, religion, marital status, photograph, or a copy of any government ID. None of these are needed to assess whether you can do the job. If you are hired, employment paperwork is a separate conversation with its own consent.
Why we collect it
To assess your application, to contact you about it, and — only if you separately agree — to consider you for future roles. That is the entire list. We do not use your data for marketing, we do not add you to any mailing list, and we do not build a profile of you.
No AI screens your application
Your CV and your answers are read by a person. We do not send applications to any AI or language-model service for parsing, ranking, scoring or screening, and no automated system decides whether you progress. This is a standing rule at Helira, not a current limitation — if it ever changes, this page changes before the change ships.
How long we keep it
Twelve months from the date you apply, after which your application and any CV are deleted. If you tick the separate optional box asking us to keep your details for future roles, we keep them for twelve months from that consent instead, and you can withdraw it at any time.
If you are hired, your application becomes part of your employment record and is governed by the employment terms you sign rather than by this notice.
Who can see it
Only people inside Helira involved in hiring for the role you applied to. We do not share applications with recruitment agencies, job boards, or any other company.
Three service providers process the data on our behalf, under contract, and for no purpose of their own: our database and file storage are hosted with Neon on Amazon Web Services in Singapore; this website runs on Vercel; and email notifications are sent through Resend. Because the database is in Singapore, your data is stored outside India. The DPDP Act permits this, and we tell you so you know.
How it is protected
CVs are encrypted before they are stored and are never placed at a public URL — there is no link to your CV that could be guessed, shared or indexed by a search engine. Access to applications requires an authenticated Helira account.
Your rights, and how to use them
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct anything wrong, or delete it entirely — including withdrawing your application. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did lawfully before you withdrew it, and it will end our consideration of your application, which is usually the point.
Email careers@helira.in from the address or phone number you applied with, and say what you want done. We will act within thirty days.
If we get it wrong
Our Grievance Officer is Sadananda V Nayak, reachable at careers@helira.in. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
